The Ohio State men's basketball team sits on the precipice of 7-1, but before they can get there, they'll have to go through Savannah State. Savannah State, 5-4 of the MEAC, heads to Value City Arena at the Jerome Schottenstein Center after losing at home against Norfolk State, 55-45, a week and a half ago. Guard Preston Blackman put up 12 while fellow back court mate Stephen Wilson chipped in 13, but just about all of the Tigers' starters will have to be in top form if they're going to pull the upset of their season.
Ohio State meanwhile looks to continue showing improvement with respect to ball movement, incremental progress with their interior bigs, and hopefully, for his sake, a departure from the recent offensive woes of late for their star point guard, junior Aaron Craft. LaQuinton Ross appears to be the second scorer the Buckeyes have been looking for, but we can get closer to calling it a trend if he makes this the third straight game in which he's assumed that identity.
Below is your Wednesday night basketball GameThread. We don't have a ton of rules around these parts, but first and foremost, pay it forward. If your level of cynicism and/or cruelty to your fellow commenter would even cause noted former Buckeye hoopster Greg Oden to look even sadder than normal, you're probably not the best fit for what we're after around these parts.
O-H.
