The newest Ohio State Buckeye, 2013 DT Donovan Munger.
Urban Meyer's class grows to 19 after receiving their second verbal commitment this weekend from a 4-star defensive tackle.
While we knew this would be a weekend that could see some commitments, most had assumed that Gareon Conley and Mike Mitchell would be the most probable of those visiting Ohio State's Columbus campus this weekend. Conley came through on his part, finishing the conversion from being a former Michigan verbal commitment into full fledged Buckeye one. But Urban Meyer and his staff can go ahead and put a second from what's appearing to have been a very successful weekend on the board. Consensus 4-star defensive tackle Donovan Munger of Shaker Heights (OH) has committed to the Buckeyes. Munger had also been considering Georgia, Louisville, Michigan State, and Notre Dame.
Munger adds depth to a class that already includes Michael Hill and Billy Price. Munger interestingly enough didn't make the trek down Friday as originally planned and some felt that this might be a signal that he was considering UCLA instead. Rather Munger must've made the trip late or instead either knew he already had his mind made or just decided to go down on truly his own terms.
Either way, this is yet another huge get for Stan Drayton (Munger's principle recruiter) and his colleagues on staff. Ohio State fans certainly have to like the hot hand Meyer's world class staff have been exhibiting of late.
