Ohio State Football: DeVier Posey Goes 68th To Houston Texans

DeVier Posey goes 5th overall in the third round to the Houston Texans.

After a star crossed career that saw him suspended ten of his twelve games as a senior and a few untimely drops his junior season that saw his home fanbase abandon full faith in him, DeVier Posey has had his professional dreams realized by being selected by the Houston Texans with the 68th pick in the 2012 NFL Draft.

Posey came out of high school with an all-pro pedigree but took a season plus to really come into his own. While his route running ranks amongst the best to wear the scarlet and gray, Posey at times was victim to be a little too mindful of defensive backs and unable to not "hear footsteps" that kept him from reaching his full potential as a regular starter for a few rather talented Ohio State offenses.

In full disclosure, I also happen to be a Houston Texans fan (going back to their inaugural season in 2002) and I can't say enough how giddy I am at the thought of Posey as a possession receiver across the hashes from the likes of Andre Johnson.

Good luck, DeVier.
