These guys were in a "jail cell" to raise money for charity. Charles Eric Waugh won't be so lucky.
Charles Eric Waugh was indicted this week, charged by a grand jury with failing to comply with the terms of the state of Kentucky sex offender registry. With the charge, a Class D felony, Waugh now faces a one-to-five year prison sentence which could be further complicated by the revocation of his probated five-year prison sentence from a 2008 arrest for downloading images that featured minors in sexual situations.
Waugh was arrested May 7th, after it was brought to the attention of the Kentucky State Police that he'd failed to disclose his presence on the popular social media web sites Twitter and Facebook. Waugh, who operated under the pseudonym "Bdubstriviaguru", had made contact with numerous Ohio State current and prospective student athletes going as far as to take pictures with then recruits Joey Bosa, Mike Heuerman, and Alex Anzalone following the 2012 Ohio State spring game. Anzalone, a four-star linebacker out of Wyomissing, Pennsylvania, rather notably publicly decommitted from Ohio State following the incident and is now thought to favor Will Muschamp's University of Florida Gators.
