In the Navy, Midshipmen bowl record

First let me just say, that I never thought it would take me this long to get this up, but I obviously underestimated the ability of 12 hour shifts to mess with the amount of time I have to spend on things like blogs. What’s more, I’ve completely forgotten the not so witty text I was going to open this up with. So let’s just cut to the data. Although I will say that this has something to do with why I root for Navy over Army, despite the overwhelming number of ancestors who graduated from the academies being slanted heavily in favor of West Point.
The rules:
1) All teams are counted from their CURRENT conference
2) Redacted games are counted
3) Mythical national championship games are counted by host bowl, and not as a separate entity.

Thankfully Navy has had more bowl appearances than Army, as seeing the Black Knights with only FIVE bowl appearances was a little disappointing. FIVE! It would however, have been much cooler if they had actually won in the District of Columbia. Also, AN ACADEMY WENT TO AND WON A BCS BOWL!

While Navy isn’t the super power they once were, they have managed to make it to a level where they can count on making some sort of bowl game every season. However, they tend to have problems with bowl games, which would lend weight to the argument that the added time between them and the end of the season makes it much easier to defend the triple option.
