The Ohio State Buckeyes and Iowa Hawkeyes face off for the first time since November 20, 2010, when Ohio State held on late for a 20-17 road win. The year prior, the two engaged in a 27-24 classic won on the leg of former Columbus Crew player, Devin Barclay. Kirk Ferentz's bunch seek their first win against the Buckeyes since 2004's 33-7 throttling.
Ohio State's fresh off two closer than they would've liked but hard fought wins against Wisconsin and Northwestern as well as a bye week and look to move to 3-0 in Big Ten conference play. Iowa too returns from a bye week, but lost their last contest, a 26-14 struggle at home against Michigan State.
The Hawkeyes bring a stout defense (which as you've probably heard has yet to allow a rushing touchdown this season) and a conservative (but slightly less conservative than historical standards) offense into The 'Shoe. They'll have to play virtually mistake free football and try to force the Buckeyes into turnovers of their own if they want a chance to pull the upset.
