I'm not sure if this violates any site terms so I'll apologize in advance if it does. I normally don't post personal stuff on here but I think this serves as an exception.
I graduated from OSU in '11 and have been working for a hospital in Central Ohio ever since. For the last 3 months I've been spending a lot of time getting my application ready for business school and I'm proud to say that I have been accepted into the MBA program at Ohio State!
Prospective students are able to check the application site to see when there is a change in their application status. Sunday night I saw there was finally a change in my status and hoo boy was I nervous to click the link to find out. I read the first word (Congratulations!) and needed a few minutes to collect myself before I could keep reading the rest. I really could feel a weight being lifted off my shoulders.
Getting the application together is difficult in itself but I think the month I had to spend just waiting for a decision was even worse. I would constantly wear myself out mentally fretting over the decision (I'm pretty sure I checked the site 4-5 times a day looking for an answer). Tom Petty is right, the waiting is the hardest part.
This is where LGHL comes in. I've been coming here for a while now and the articles, jokes, and gifs (Heart you, gif oracle!) have helped to pass the time tremendously. I just wanted to take a minute and say thanks for making the waiting a little more enjoyable, you guys do great work here.
