2015 Ohio State prospect Scott Patchan, who earned an offer on November 7th, is starting to see his recruitment blow up. A 6'5 defensive end, Patchan is a dominant pass rusher with great speed off of the line, with a 4.53 recorded 40 time. The Miami Hurricanes were in to see the Florida native yesterday and that list should continue to grow in the coming months. Holding offers from Miami and Ohio State, obviously, the 230 pound athlete has also earned offers from Notre Dame and Tennessee. Urban Meyer has brought in elite talent on the defensive line since taking this job and there's no reason why Patchan can't become another dominant player to add to the list.
Miami stopped by the school today. It was good to talk to coach. #hurricanes— scott patchan (@scott_patchan) December 3, 2013
In case you missed it yesterday, a handful of 2014 Ohio State commits received bump in a new addition of Rivals rankings. In addition, as we examine the list a bit closer, the Buckeyes have nine commits in the Rivals250, which leads he Big Ten by a pretty solid margin. As Buckeye Nation has seen, this Ohio State staff recruits like no other, relentless every single day. This number is certain to grow as the Bucks are set up to have a great finish when the calendar turns.
The prolific Akron duo of Parris Campbell and Dante Booker were both named to the AP Division III First Team All-Ohio. Adding to that, Booker was named co-defensive player of the year. The Fighting Irish have rolled through everyone on their schedule up to this point and will look to capture their second straight state title on Thursday night against Trotwood-Madison.
If you haven't seen it yet, there is an unbelievably awesome, yes that legit, picture of Damon Webb going around the social media sites.
Webb is in line to add to the growing list of elite defensive backs to put on a Buckeye uniform and his opportunity is only a few months away. With his high school season over, the only focus is getting ready for college football and getting in shape to challenge for a starting spot next season.
-Showing his all around athletic ability, 2015 basketball target Luke Kennard was named to the first team AP Division III All-Ohio as a quarterback. Though his recruitment is trending towards Kentucky, Thad Matta is in solid shape to land the five-star guard.
