The Big Ten runner up Ohio State Buckeyes will meet the ACC Atlantic division runner up Clemson Tigers Friday, January 3rd in Miami, Florida in the 2014 Orange Bowl game. That date will mark exactly the 11th anniversary of Ohio State beating Sun Life Stadium home team Miami for a national championship.
We'll spare you the Charlie Bauman rehash, but your other narrative du jour is bound to be that Clemson quarterback (and one time Heisman candidate) Tajh Boyd famously chose the Tigers over Ohio State. Whether he was gun shy about competing with Terrelle Pryor or simply liked warm weather, you're pretty much guaranteed to read *something* about his recruitment in the next month ahead.
The Buckeyes have another connection to Clemson in that Tigers backup quarterback Cole Stoudt is a Dublin Coffman product. Stout, a 2011 247Composite 3-star pledge to the Tigers, was never recruited in earnest by the Buckeyes.
