'14 ATH Todd Kelly Jr. and '14 WR Demarre Kitt in their future uniforms?
Less than a week removed from National Signing Day 2013, Ohio State has already received three commitments from some of the top prospects in the class of 2014 – and now looks to shift even more focus onto recruiting the '14 class.
On Sunday, while Ohio State basketball fell to the likes of Indiana, the coaching staff for the Ohio State football team was busy doing work and found themselves notified of three new commitments to the class of 2014. '14 4-star OL Kyle Trout was the first to commit to Ohio State on Sunday, followed by '14 4-star DE Lawrence Marshall about an hour later, and then '14 RB/ATH Parris Campbell went after Marshall about half an hour later.
Landing an offensive lineman this early is a good sign for the Buckeyes. Urban Meyer has mentioned repeatedly that the staff didn't close on the offensive line near as well as they needed to. In 2014, I see the Buckeyes taking as many as four offensive lineman, which means they could add as many as three to four more to be completely situated.
Shifting gears, if you, like myself, were surprised at just how upset you were about the Buckeyes missing out on Johnny Townsend, then we might just have some good news. You know, if kicking and punting are your thing:
Talked to K/P Andrew Gantz. He visited OSU on Fri, was offered a walk on spot to punt next season & kick next 3.Still UT commit as of now

Our own Charles Doss spoke with '13 K/P Andrew Gantz and found out that he was offered a walk-on position to kick and punt as early as next season. As Charles also mentions, Gantz is still technically "committed" to Tennessee, but there is hope that the Ohio-native will decide to stay in his home state. From Gantz himself:
"I am committed to Tennessee. I was called by coach Meyer Thursday and took a visit to Ohio State Friday. They offered a preferred walk-on spot to punt next year and kick for the next three years. As of now I'm still a Volunteer"
This weekend not only brought in commits, but was also a junior day at Ohio State, hosting a bevy of recruits, including '14 5-star OL Jamarco Jones, '14 4-star WR Demarre Kitt, '14 4-star ATH Todd Kelly Jr. and many more. Here are some of their reactions from Twitter:
4* WR Demarre Kitt @d_ocho on his time with #OhioState coaches Meyer, Herman, & Smith "I loved them. I could see myself playing there."

Finally, to finish us out, Ohio State football director of player personnel Mark Pantoni has become somewhat of a Twitter sensation among the throngs of Buckeye fans that follow him on the social media outlet. The reason being, simply put, is that he brings the #JUICE, just like he does in the recruiting game, which lead to tweets from Pantoni himself like these:
@tjessberger as @osucoachcoombs would say - not a good day but a GREAT day
— Mark Pantoni (@markpantoni) February 10, 2013
I'd have to say I agree with him on this one: Sunday was a GREAT day for Ohio State recruiting.
