Yet another reason to feel good about Elliott's ultimate commitment.
The 4-star running back from Saint Louis, Missouri will put his commitment to rest once and for all at 5 p.m. EST ceremony at his high school.
Ezekiel Elliott's commitment didn't seem so complicated. At least not at first. When the then 3-star running back committed back last Spring, given both the tone and tenor of his commitment and his actions that followed, it was pretty much assumed that he was one of the better recruiters within the class. At The Opening 2012 in Eugene, Oregon over the summer, Elliott was one of several names said to be in constant contact with eventual Buckeye Mike Mitchell before his ultimate commitment to the Buckeyes.
But as these things to do, Elliott began to re-explore his process just a little over a week until National Signing Day 2013. Taking a visit to the University of Missouri, the alma matter of both of his parents as well as his home state university, Elliott had the red carpet rolled out for him. And while he failed to decommit from Ohio State or say anything publicly to suggest definitively his allegiances were waning, the writing seemed all but on the wall.
While it seems those closest to Ohio State have been tight lipped, most recruiting experts have still maintained they think Elliott winds up in scarlet & gray. And following Urban Meyer and Stan Drayton's press conference at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center this past hour, it's hard not to think that the "player they feel good about" is anyone other than Elliott.
Still, in the interests of making things official, tune in with us and watch Elliott potentially complete Ohio State's class of 2013:
