Ezekiel Elliott (right) is finally, officially an Ohio State Buckeye. - US Army
The 4-star RB from St Louis, Missouri ends his recruiting process by announcing for the Ohio State Buckeyes over Missouri.
Four-star running back Ezekiel Elliott concluded what'd been a bumpy two weeks as an Ohio State commit, once and for all declining overtures from Gary Pinkel and the University of Missouri and recommitting to the Ohio State Buckeyes. During OSU head coach Urban Meyer's (and later running backs coach Stan Drayton's) 3 p.m. EST press conference, both saw them making insinuations towards a mystery player, which Drayton in particular indicated could be Elliott.
Elliott is rated by the 247Composite Rankings as the 5th-best all-purpose back in the class of 2013 and the best overall player from the state of Missouri. He's an aggregate four-star at all major recruiting services and rated overall as the 6th best player in his class.
The St. Louis product becomes the 20th Buckeye to fax in his Nationa Letter of Intent for National Signing Day 2013. Elliott was the 6th commitment in the class of 2013 for Ohio State, but his verbal pledge became a bit shaky after Missouri rolled the red carpet out for him on a zero hour visit to Columbia. All's well that ends well for the Ohio State faithful, as Elliott has now faxed in his NLI following his announcement ceremony, officially joining a loaded 2013 recruiting class for the Buckeyes.
