For the second time in two days, Urban Meyer and Mark Pantoni have an in-state commit.
Just one day removed from the big-time flip of Cleveland product Jerome Baker from Florida to the Buckeyes, Ohio State adds sleeper three-star defensive end Rashod Berry of Lorain. Berry's commitment was first reported by Berry's head coach Dave McFarland via the Chronicle-Telegram and later confirmed by SB Nation.
Berry reported an offer as an athlete from the Buckeyes late Tuesday. He was also offered by the Michigan State Spartans as a defensive end. The Bucks and Spartans meet in a de facto Big Ten East championship game Nov. 8 in East Lansing.
The three-star Berry checks in as the 36th ranked weakside defensive end in the 2015 recruiting class. He's the 31st ranked played overall from the state of Ohio and the 705th best, per the 247Sports Composite Rankings for 2015.
