Penn State has had a rough past couple of weeks. After starting out with four straight wins, the Nittany Lions came to a screeching halt when they lost 29-6 against Northwestern in Beaver Stadium and then the following week fell to Michigan 18-13 in Ann Arbor. Now, with a bye week to help recollect themselves, they host an Ohio State team that has been on fire as of late.
The Buckeyes come into State College on the heels of an impressive 56-17 stomping of Rutgers, a team Penn State narrowly beat out 13-10 earlier this season, and a four game win streak. Since the loss to Virginia Tech, this has looked like a completely different Ohio State team, including redshirt freshman quarterback J.T. Barrett who has helped lead the Buckeyes to scoring 50 points or more in all of their last four games.
Nittany Lions head coach James Franklin will be going head-to-head with Urban Meyer for the first time and will no doubt look to upend the Buckeyes. Penn State quarterback Christian Hackenberg hasn't been at his best recently (which isn't necessarily his fault) but you can be sure that the sophomore is going to be taking shots at the Ohio State secondary all night long to try and will the Nittany Lions to victory.
