Another Cleveland Glenville Tarblooder is officially a member of the Ohio State football program as the Buckeyes just received a faxed National Letter of Intent from athlete Marshon Lattimore, who is rated as Ohio's top player in the 2014 247Sports Composite rankings.

Lattimore committed to Urban Meyer and the Buckeyes at last month's Army All-American Bowl after the Bucks had held the lead to land his commitment for the duration of his recruitment. There was some speculation he would take visits to other schools despite his commitment to Ohio State, but that never happened and all speculation comes to an end with his signing of a binding agreement with OSU. He will arrive in Columbus along with the other signees who didn't enroll at the beginning of June.

The 6'1, 175-pound athlete has the ability to play either wide receiver or cornerback at the college level. He's pretty much a lock to be a corner going into fall camp, but could be a very effective slot receiver at the college level if things don't work out in the defensive backfield. I've seen him in person at camps on two occasions and was very impressed by his cover skills both times.

In addition to the offer from Ohio State, Lattimore received offers from Alabama, Cincinnati, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisville, Maryland, Michigan, Michigan State, North Carolina State, Oregon, Penn State, Tennessee, Toledo, UCLA, USC, and West Virginia.

Our own Christopher Jason took a look at Lattimore's tape and had this to say about one of the top prospects in the class of 2014:

Lattimore has the physical traits to get on the field early for the Buckeyes. He will be coming to Columbus as a defensive back, but in reality he could easily play offense, defense, and special teams as a returner. Although most of his tape is on offense, Lattimore possesses excellent ball skills and attacks the ball at its highest point. Due to his off-the-charts athleticism, his size and his instincts, he will be groomed into another great Buckeye cornerback. If not, he could easily be an impact player on offense and double as a returner.

If you haven't had the opportunity to see the elite athlete in action, you can check out his impressive highlight reel below:
