Though a spot on an active NBA roster it isn't, Aaron Craft's continued defensive dominance has turned heads in the best basketball league in the world's minor league.
On Friday afternoon, the NBA D-League named the Santa Cruz Warriors' (and Ohio State great) Aaron Craft their 2015 Defensive Player of the Year. In 50 games, Craft averaged 4.3 defensive rebounds to go along with 2.5 steals per contest. Adding to his impressive showing on the defensive end of things, Craft recorded two triple-doubles on the season.
With his dreams of playing at the sport's highest level still alive, Craft's managed to further entrench himself into a valuable skill specific player who should get opportunities in this coming summer's NBA Summer Leagues to potentially make it onto a regular season roster.
Congrats, Aaron.
