In a surprise to even Ohio State recruitniks, the Buckeyes landed their first commitment of the spring game weekend from an unlikely source.
As announced on his Twitter account, Wisconsin legacy Tuf Borland gave his pledge to Urban Meyer and the Buckeyes. Borland checks in at 6'2, 225 pounds. An outside linebacker from Bolingbrook, IL, the four-star in the 247Sports Composite grades out as the 20th best outside linebacker, the sixth best player from the state of Illinois, and No. 276 as things currently stand in the composite rankings.
Borland had naturally widely been expected to land with the Badgers, but OSU ultimately proved to be the beneficiaries.
