Ohio State recruiting recap: week of 10/21/12

The Ohio State Buckeyes are headed to the state of Pennsylvania to take the Nittany Lions in a Leaders division match up this Saturday.

This weekend is a key game for both teams, but Penn State happens to be hosting quite a crowd of top football athletes for this game. Even so, the Buckeyes are covering every corner of the recruiting map as they hope to finish the 2013 and 2014 classes with a top five ranking.

Thaddeus Snodgrass, a 2014 wide receiver from Ohio, has set his announcement date to November 5th. The 6'1", 170-pound 4-star receiver has offers from Ohio State, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Penn State, Purdue, Wisconsin and Georgia Tech among others. Snodgrass visited the Buckeyes campus for the Purdue game and also has attended games at Indiana and Michigan State this fall. His top five in no particular order: Michigan State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State and Wisconsin.

According to Tim May of the Columbus Dispatch, 2013 quarterback commit JT Barrett's surgery went well. Barrett is out for the rest of the season after suffering a knee injury three weeks ago.

'13 ATH Taivon Jacobs, who is currently committed to Ohio State, will be playing alongside fellow Buckeye commit DB Jayme Thompson at the 2013 Offense-Defense All-American Bowl. It's a pretty great honor and it will be pretty neat to see two future Buckeyes on the field together.

Here are some highlights of all-everything athlete Marshon Lattimore:

To cap us off today, we'll finish with Christopher Worley:
