The Ohio State Buckeyes have kicked off college basketball's early signing period in style. The men's basketball team officially announced Wednesday the signing of 6'8" 210 pound All-Ohio Red and Toledo St John's product, Marc Loving. Loving, who projects to the next level at either forward positions, is a consensus four star amongst the major recruiting services. Loving had been considering Xavier, Arizona, Cincinnati, Indiana, Notre Dame, and USC in addition to Ohio State though was said to have winnowed his final selection down to Xavier and OSU. He was actually first offered by the Thad Matta and the Bucks when he was just a freshman in high school.
Loving is said to be long and skilled with a good inside out game. His arguably biggest weakness at this point is a lack of asserting himself on both ends of the glass. As is customary with 17 year old big men, he could use some time in the weight room before he'll be able to make an impact as a rebounder at the college level.
