Ohio State's class of 2013 keeps on growing. It was revealed tonight that Lebanon quarterback Luke Morgan has committed to Ohio State as a preferred walk-on, per his coach. Morgan's highlight film lists him as "6'2" 200 pounds", but it also lists his 40 yard dash time as 4.7, so take that for whatever it's worth. Morgan joins wide receiver Devlin McDaniel and fullback William Houston as recent preferred walk-on commitments. Given Ohio State's NCAA mandated scholarship limitations, adding players of this nature is never a bad thing.
While it isn't likely that Morgan will see the field anytime soon (if at all), he adds what's always coveted for programs like Ohio State: depth. Justin Siems has been an outstanding scout team player and teammate(and was in fact honored today as an Academic All-Big Ten student athlete) for the Buckeyes in a similar role the past several seasons and there doesn't appear to be any reason why Morgan can't fit a similar role for Urban Meyer's next four-to-five Ohio State football teams. Morgan isn't ranked by any of the national recruiting outlets. He quarterbacked Lebanon to a 6-4 record this past season.
