It sounds like the one-on-one attention Gareon Conley got since Wednesday night through today on his official visit with Ohio State paid off in spades. The former Michigan verbal commitment spent the the last 36 hours in Columbus and the net result is another huge get for Urban Meyer and co. Word begin trickling out early Friday afternoon that Conley may have committed and that has now been confirmed.

Conley is a 6'1" 170 pound cornerback from the Massillon, Ohio area. He's rated as a four star aggregate in the 247 composite rankings checking in as the 17th best cornerback in the entire class (and individually is 17th at 247, 17th at Scout, and 42nd at Rivals) . Conley will add depth to a secondary looking to replace senior Travis Howard in the starting lineup and while it's unexpected he'll see the field with much regularity in year one, could contribute on special teams should he prove he's ready. Conley was expected to be taking a visit to Ann Arbor next weekend but it remains to be seen if that will still be the case.

Now the watch is on to see if Meyer and the staff can close on any additional big name recruits in what's sure to be one of the highest profile weekends of the 2012-2013 recruiting calendar.
