Mike Adams is the first Buckeye to go in the 2012 NFL Draft.

Fret not, Ohio State fans. Ohio State finally had their first Buckeye taken off the board in the 2012 NFL Draft in the form of tackle Mike Adams.

Adams, the Dublin Coffman product turned 5-star left tackle, joins Cam Heyward in Pittsburgh as Ohio State top round draft picks with the potential to make significant impacts much to chagrin of Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals fans out there.

DeVier Posey is the next highest graded Ohio State Buckeye and either he or center prospect Michael Brewster are widely expected to be the next Ohio State Buckeyes off the board.

Adams had drawn attention of late in all the worst possible ways for failing a drug test at the NFL's annual draft combine, just a year removed from being suspended for 5 games because of accepting tattoos in exchange for memorabilia and other considerations while a member of the Ohio State football team.

Best of luck to Mike moving forward in his professional endeavors.
