Bill O'Brien has named Matt McGloin ad his starting QB for 2012.

With but Paul Jones and Matt McGloin realistically the only two "viable" (a term I use loosely) options for first year Penn State Nittany Lions head coach Bill O'Brien, B.o.B. announced Friday morning that Matt McGloin, the most consistent quarterback throughout the spring, would be Penn State's starting quarterback entering the 2012 college football season.
McGloin is known for many splendored things, including but not limited to:
- Moxie
- His not realistic but somewhat believable portrayal of a football player in the 2010 and 2011 Penn State Nittany Lions football seasons
- His iron jaw
- An unwillingness to quit in the face of adversity
- An unrelenting absence of fear of making mistakes
- Moxie
- A bedroom poster of Jonathon 'Mox' Moxon, quarterback in Brian Robbins's immortal "Varsity Blues" as autographed by the Dawson himself, James Van Der Beek, one of the stars of TV's "Don't Trust the B---- In Apartment 23."
In accordance with today's joyous news, we celebrate with the first in what we hope is a twenty plus part series we're calling "Great Moments In Matt McGloin". Never stop doing you, Matthew:
