You might want to turn away, Cleveland Cavaliers fans:
Urban Meyer, who is entering his first season at Ohio State, has become an admirer of the Heat organization, and its coach.
..."And the way he does it, I think is brilliant. And Pat Riley, the confidence he's shown, I love that organization and how they handled that whole situation."
But what about Akron's own, LeBron James? Surely he's not a huge fan of his or anything, right? Right?!
"I offered him a scholarship when he was a sophomore in high school at St. Vincent St. Mary's," Meyer said. "I was at Notre Dame. He was a receiver, and I was a receiver's coach."
How good was he?
"Great."
Sorry, had to pause for a second to clear off the cranium matter emanating from the blast zone that once was the 216.
Off-season cross-sport puff pieces, FTW.
Pavlovic comes to Portland, Diebler moved to Houston in three-team deal
And hey, Jon Diebler? Remember him? Well he's Clutch City bound:
The Portland Trail Blazers were in the helping spirit last night as they helped facilitate a three-team deal that landed Courtney Lee in Boston via a sign-and-trade through Houston.
Portland receives Sasha Pavlovic (6-7 small forward) and a second round pick and Houston gets JaJuan Johnson, E'Twaun Moore, and Sean Williams.
CSNNW.com has learned that Portland dealt shooting guard Jon Diebler to Houston in the deal. According to John Hollinger of ESPN.com, Boston will be paying Pavlovic's salary.
This trade certainly isn't new, but Diebler's inclusion is news to Buckeye fans everywhere. After playing in Greece last year, Diebler had been running with the Blazers during the pre-training camp elements of summer league hoops but now has a shot to follow in the foot steps of Robert Horry and Eddie Johnson amongst all-time Rocket great marksmen. Here's hoping he stick around.
Ohio State Buckeyes edge Indiana Hoosiers in early 2012-13 Big Ten power rankings - NCB - ESPN ($$$)
A premium article, so we won't broach the paywall. None the less, the once-and-always Big Ten Wonk is higher on the Buckeyes than many and strongly suspects that Deshaun Thomas will be getting much needed help in the form of a running mate to-be-determined (potentially even from the likes of summer buzz pick, LaQuinton Ross).
Also: I will never not first type DeShaun Thomas.

Powerful read on the troubled frontman of Passion Pit. An important one too for better understanding the need for research and education on the dangers of mental illness.
