GameThread: #11 Ohio State Buckeyes at #18 Michigan State Spartans

It's only January, so there is still quite a bit of basketball to be played, but that doesn't make this matchup between the Buckeyes and the Spartans any less of a big game. Both teams are looking to separate themselves into the upper crust of the Big Ten's elite, and will need another quality win to bump them up a line or two during tournament time. This is a winnable game for both teams, and you better believe the Sparty Crowd will be hopping tonight.

Ohio State, once again, will be led by Deshaun Thomas, and his 20 points per game. The Buckeyes will hope to ride extremely tough perimeter defense with just enough scoring from Lenzelle Smith, Evan Ravenel, and yes, even Aaron Craft to ugly up a win. Michigan State is hoping a recent 20 point showing from big man Adreian Payne against Penn State is a sign of things to come, and will need big games from him, Gary Harris, and Keith Appling.

Both teams have one Big Ten loss. With road trips to Madison and Bloomington looming ahead, the Spartans will really want to grab a win at home, or they could potentially be looking up at quite a few teams in a hurry.
