Ohio State recruiting: State Secrets, 10/21 - Latest on Cario Davison, Iowa visits

The Buckeyes continue the country's longest active winning streak at 19 games after taking care of business against the Hawkeyes. Plenty of recruits witnessed first hand what went down, and we caught a glimpse of what they thought about Ohio State.

'15 S Cario Davison has piqued the Buckeyes' interest.

Ohio State fans may be familiar with '14 4-star ATH Dareian Watkins from Galion, Ohio and how Watkins committed to Northwestern on May 6th of this year. Watkins was fairly underrated while being recruited, and now it appears that his God-brother, '15 S Cario Davison may be the next athlete to be overlooked. Davison shows much of the same promise that Watkins does, and is already being looked at by multiple programs in his junior season of football. The 6'2", 190-pound safety hasn't yet received an offer from Ohio State, but is being closely looked at by Akron, Illinois, Kent State, Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.

Davison was in town on Saturday to see the Buckeyes host the Hawkeyes as Ohio State came out with their 19th straight victory, in a 34-24 score. Land-Grant Holy Land's very own Charles Doss had time to catch up with Davison about his visit to Columbus, and here's what he had to say:

"The visit went great. I thought it was going to rain but the weather was great. The thing that really stood out to me was the crowd. After Roby was wrongfully ejected, the crowd took the game over. We were running late and we didn't get to talk to anybody, but I do talk to Mark Pantoni through email. He tells my dad to keep sending film and that they would like to see me in camp. There is a lot of confidence in this team, by the players and the fans. I don't see them losing any games on the schedule."

As his recruiting process moves forward, I wouldn't be surprised to see the Buckeyes hand out an offer to Davison at some point, especially if he impresses during the summer camps. He could certainly be a prospect that comes for Friday Night Lights.

A handful of recruits took to the social media outlet, Twitter, to discuss how they felt following Ohio State's victory over Iowa. Those in attendance seemed to have a pretty good time:

'15 LB Reagan Williams was in attendance on Saturday, and appeared to have fun at the 'Shoe.

'15 RB Joshuwa Holloman had his fun in Columbus during the victory, and shared it with his followers after the game.

'15 DE Rashod Berry has been in contact with Ohio State's coaching staff for quite some time, but hasn't yet received an offer. It's still pretty early in his process, however, so there's plenty of time to impress during this season and in summer camps.

Finally, '16 DL Nick Bosa has been on Ohio State's radar since the recruitment of his brother, Joey Bosa (a freshman sensation on the field). The younger Bosa already has an offer in hand from the Buckeyes and is supposedly even better than his big brother, if you can believe that. Bosa holds one other offer, from Boston College.
