Ohio State vs. Penn State score update: Buckeyes come out firing, lead 14-0

With a rockin' atmosphere in Columbus, the Buckeyes received the kickoff and Braxton Miller came out firing on all cylinders completing three straight passes to three different receivers for 30 yards. With a couple Carlos Hyde runs sprinkled in, Miller then hit Devin Smith for a 36 yard gain, putting the Buckeyes inside the five yard line. A false start slowed them down a bit, but it wasn't enough for the Nittany Lions as Carlos Hyde bulldozed his way in to give Ohio State a 7-0 lead.

Christian Hackenberg came onto the field, and like most opponents this season, was able to find some early success on the ground as well through the air. Facing a 3rd and 11 in Buckeye territory, Hackenberg connected with Allen Robinson for a first down. Two plays later, Hackenberg let one go to the end zone where Corey Brown was able step in front and grab an interception, setting Ohio State up 1st and 10 from the 20 yard line.

After trading off a pair of three and outs, Ohio State was back in business. With Carlos Hyde getting the majority of the workload, the Buckeyes moved past midfield for the second time on the night and then Braxton Miller bolted 39  yards to extend the Ohio State lead to 14.

CJ Barnett  then picked off Hackenberg on Penn State's ensuing drive.
