Urban Meyer and his staff hosted a very impressive list of recruits on campus last weekend, where some of the top high school football players in the country saw the Buckeyes post a 63-14 victory over Penn State.

One of the top young talents on campus was 2015 Orlando (FL) Timber Creek running back Jacques Patrick, who is one of Ohio State's top targets in the 2015 recruiting class.

The 6-foot-2-inch, 220 pound running back/athlete holds around 50 offers to play college football. Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, UCLA, USC, and many others headline his very impressive offer sheet.

Last weekend, Patrick decided he would make his second ever trip to Columbus to watch the Buckeyes take on Penn state. I caught up with him to find out how he liked his second visit to Ohio State.

"I arrived Saturday morning," he said. "When I first got onto campus, I hung out with Coach Meyer for an hour or so, then Coach Drayton came and took me to the stadium. He was talking to me about the tradition of the Ohio State program. I got to watch the walkthroughs, sit in the team meeting before the game, and watch Coach Meyer give a great speech before the game. Then I got to go onto the field before the game started. It was fun watching the Buckeyes put a whooping on Penn State, the atmosphere was unreal."

His hour long meeting with Urban Meyer in his office at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center may have been the most important part of Patrick's visit.

"We had a great conversation," he continued. "We talked about a lot of things like college football, my high school season, he talked to me about the game, and we talked a little more about Ohio State."

He has been developing a very good relationship with Meyer and his primary recruiting, Ohio State running backs coach Stan Drayton over the last couple of months.

"I talk the them every week," he said. "They're both really good guys. Coach Meyer and I are always cracking jokes when we talk on the phone."

Patrick got to see most of what Ohio State had to offer when he was on campus this past June, but he was happy he got to see the game atmosphere at Ohio Stadium this time around. He's also looking at returning to Columbus for a third visit on a date currently unknown.

"Just seeing the game day atmosphere was great. The fans were crazy," he told Land-Grant Holy Land. "I'll probably visit again, but I'm not sure when. I don't really have any other visits scheduled right now.

While he hasn't announced a top five, top ten, etc., he has an idea of which schools he's favoring the most as things currently stand in his recruitment. In fact, he is close to revealing a list of his top schools.

"I've definitely thought about my top schools," he continued. "I'm just waiting until after my season is over to reveal my top ten."

He has his eyes set on a relatively early decision.

"I haven't thought a lot about it, but I'm hoping to be committed somewhere next summer, before my senior season starts."

In addition to Ohio State, Patrick is hearing the most from Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Miami, and a couple of other schools.

It will be tough to pull him out of the south, but the Buckeyes are one of only two or three teams that could potentially achieve what will be a very difficult task.
