The Buckeye Basketball staff brought us some recruiting news yesterday as assistant coach Dave Dickerson hit the road. Villa Angela-St. Joseph High School in Cleveland, Ohio was the destination for Dickerson as he checked in on '15 PF Carlton Bragg. The 5-star Bragg has 20 offers to his name and added one to his name yesterday from Rick Pitino and the defending national champion Louisville Cardinals.

Switching gears to pigskin recruiting. '15 QB Colin McNamara from Fairview High School (Cleveland, OH) was one of the many visitors who watched the Buckeyes dominate the Nittany Lions last Saturday. The 6'1", 180-pound signal-caller has an offer from Buffalo with interest from several others.. McNamara spoke with Land Grant Holy-Land to recap his visit to Columbus:

I have been through the normal recruiting business and showing up to Ohio State was all business. It felt like a business environment and I just loved the atmosphere that night. It was a serious tone that evening. We arrived a little late but I spoke quickly to Coach Drayton. They keep speaking about my athleticism and field awareness. I have a big off season of lifting and running and he said that should be my main focus. Every kid wants to be a Buckeye, so I'm listening carefully and feel I'm being given a chance. My first OSU game was when I was 10 at the Shoe. I can truly say I wanted that experience. To go to camp, speak to coaches and now be included as a possible player is a dream come true. 100,000+ fans and alumni becoming a part of that can only be special.

'14 DE and Buckeye commit Jalyn Holmes officially received his Army All-American game jersey yesterday. Holmes will be joining his future teammates Dante Booker, Marcelys Jones, Demetrius Knox, Curtis Samuel and Damon Webb to showcase their talents in the game. The Army Game will be played on January 4th, 2014 and will be televised at 1 PM ET on NBC.

'14 WR Terry McLaurin, another Buckeye commit, was nominated as The Opening Player of the Week yesterday. McLaurin will have tough competition as he will be going against Andrew Ford, Nick Chubb, Budda Baker and Joseph Yearby; all who will be attending BCS schools next year. McLaurin piled up an outstanding 311 yards and 4 touchdowns on just 14 carries. You can vote for McLaurin here.
