According to Columbus local sports legend Dom Tiberi, it appears as recently rumored the University of Hawaii will be coming to Ohio Stadium in the fall of 2015. Tiberi went on to state that news could come as soon as tomorrow.

Though details are yet to be revealed, with Ohio State opening on Labor Day, Monday, September 7th against Virginia Tech, and at least two open spaces on their 2015 schedule (it's rumored Northern Illinois may be asking out of their currently schedule Saturday, September 12th game), the Buckeyes needed additional future opponents to round out the '15 slate.

Current Hawaii athletic director Ben Jay spent six years as the Senior Associate Athletics Director for Finance and Operations at Ohio State prior to leaving for the island. Jay is also a two degree holder from Ohio State with a bachelor's in accounting and a master's in athletic administration. On Jay leaving to assume the AD role, OSU athletic director Gene Smith said, "I am extremely proud and happy for Ben Jay and his family. Ben is a seasoned professional in intercollegiate athletics who will be sorely missed at OSU, but the University of Hawai‘i will benefit from his great leadership."

Hawaii could be under new football leadership then as former USC offensive coordinator Norm Chow has struggled with the Rainbow Warriors, going 3-14 in one season and change. He also wasn't hired by Jay. Former Ohio State quarterback Taylor Graham began 2013 as the starter for UH but later lost his job due to the combination of injury and ineffectiveness.
