There's no love lost when the Ohio State Buckeyes and Ohio University Bobcats go toe-to-toe. This evening, despite some higher profile national college basketball games going on during the same block, the two in-state sometimes rivals (certainly not on the unlevel playing field of football) matchup once again.
On the Buckeyes' end, former Bobcats player Jeff Boals is on the bench for Thad Matta and co. Boals, who was reportedly at least considered for the Bobcats vacancy after former Ohio State assistant John Groce left for the greener pastures of the University of Illinois, speaks highly of his time in Athens and his love for his alma matter.
On the flip side, Ohio State legacy Nick Kellogg, son of Buckeye great Clark, is expected to be in the starting lineup for OU. Kellogg put up 16 points on a 5-for-10 shooting performance during the Bobcats' season opener against Northern Iowa. He also pulled in 5 boards in his 31 minutes of action.
Below is your Ohio State-Ohio intrastate GameThread. As per usual, be good to one another, whether Buckeye, Bobcat, or random lurker. If you wish to GIF Oracle it up, type "@oracle gif me" or "@oracle gif me subject" where the word subject is replaced by one of these categories in the comments below.
