Indiana received the second half kickoff after the Buckeyes received to start the game. Nate Sudfeld went to work and found success in their first possession of the second half. Driving 44 yards to the Ohio State 26 yard line, Tre Roberson then trotted into the game to cap an impressive drive. The Ohio State defense was able to stiffen and force a field goal attempt which was missed by Mitch Ewald—his second of the day.
Some momentum was then gained by Indiana as Braxton Miller saw a tipped pass get intercepted by Greg Heban and Indiana retook control inside Buckeye territory. On 4th down Sudfeld saw his pass get broken up by Cam Burrows and the Ohio State offense came back onto the field with nothing hurt.
Carlos Hyde got re-involved in the offense, bursting 16 yards and then Braxton Miller followed it with an impressive 17 yard run of his own. The very next play, Dontre Wilson took the rock for a 24 yard touchdown, a play that went officially down as a reception.
