We're still about a year away, but Tim Settle has announced that his intentions are to commit to a school on October 18th of next year. At it's been for quite some time, Alabama, Virginia, and Ohio State are the top challengers to land the five-star tackle. Though it'll be a tough task to out dual the hometown Cavaliers, the killer duo of Urban Meyer and Mike Vrabel have pulled commitments of this magnitude in the past. The 6'3, 305 pound beast has not yet made it to Columbus this season, but did wind up at the University of Virginia three times in August. The Buckeyes are in the thick of the race to land him and, as we stand now, Settle is a predicted 59% crystal ball lock to Ohio State.
I'm commiting oct 18 2014

Ohio State target JuJu Smith released some news that, even if he doesn't end up in scarlet and gray, should make Buckeye Nation happy anyways. An unbelievable talent, the top safety prospect has been considering Ohio State, Alabama, Notre Dame, USC, Oregon, and Michigan since his recruitment started—well had been. As of Tuesday, the Wolverines were removed from consideration, listing their recent struggles on the gridiron has his reason.
JuJu Smith said he thinks Michigan is a great school, but not a fit for him. Cancelled his visit said losses caused them to drop on his list

Whether that reason is true or not, the list became shorter and that can only help the Buckeyes. Smith's recruitment could come down to who USC hires as their new head coach. If the Trojans make a mistake, again, then why not Ohio State? By no means are the Buckeyes the favorite in this one, but the longer this process plays out, the more you have to like Urban Meyer to make this become a reality, he's done it before.
2015 five-star basketball prospect Carlton Bragg received a visit from Ohio State coach Jeff Boals on Tuesday, but coach Boals wasn't the only one in attendance. With him was Larry Harrison of West Virginia.

The Mountaineers appear to be playing from behind in this race as Ohio State and Kentucky have separated themselves at this point in Bragg's recruitment. From Cleveland, the power forward stands at 6'8 and a commitment from him would be huge to go along with already committed forward Mickey Mitchell. Ohio State should be optimistic in this one and, remember, Bragg last visited Columbus on September 21st as well as once over summer. Again, there's a long way to go, but the Buckeyes are in great shape to land yet another great in-state star.
QUICK HITS:
-Penn State offered 2015 offensive lineman Drew Richmond. Richmond is a longtime Buckeye target and has Ohio State near the top of his list.
