Ohio State-Bryant 2013: GameThread

The basketball Buckeyes look to continue their undefeated run against the Bryant Bulldogs in the Gotham Classic.

James Snook-USA TODAY Sports

The Buckeyes host the Bryant Bulldogs on Wednesday night, and for the Buckeyes, defense has been the key to their success so far this season. It should be no trouble for them again tonight, as Ohio State has only been allowing an average of 54.5 points to rank third nationally while holding opponents to 37.1 percent from the field and 22.0 percent from 3-point range.

Meanwhile, the offense has really heated up as of late for the Buckeyes, and much of that may be due in part to the rise of LaQuinton Ross' offensive game. Ohio State, as a team, has shot 58.1% in the past three games while averaging 83.0 points, compared to 69.6 in the first five. We'll see if Ross and the Buckeyes can keep this kind of play up tonight against the Bulldogs.
