Ohio State looks to keep the momentum of Wednesday's victory over Minnesota alive and well as one of the nation's best, the Michigan State Spartans, head to town. Michigan State fought top ranked Indiana down to the wire Tuesday evening, but in the end, didn't quite have enough. Tom Izzo's bunch will look to make it a perfect 2-0 against Thad Matta and the Buckeyes on the season. In their previous matchup, Michigan State prevailed, 59-56, after Shannon Scott took an ill advised low percentage shot at the end of the contest.

Before Tuesday's loss, Michigan State had won five straight (including 11-of-12). In a game that saw controversial sequences play an integral role down the stretch in the 72-68 instant classic, Michigan State looked worthy of their high ranking, but Indiana was just a bit better. Though Michigan State may well still be on the road to yet another Final Four berth, they'll first have to get through a slate that still includes a trip to face 7th ranked Michigan and a home date with 19th ranked Wisconsin – and that's to say nothing of the mental and physical grind of the Big Ten Tournament. Their final tune up entering the stretch run is today.

Below is your LGHL GameThread. If you're new to our humble abode, welcome. We don't ask much, but whether you root for Ohio State, Michigan State, That Team Up North, or you have weird split allegiances based on having grown up in the Internet age, we ask you to be cordial to your fellow commenter. You can talk good spirited trash while still not being a total a-hole. And if you don't enjoy memes and animated GIFs, well, I hear Matt Wright's message boards are inexplicably still a thing on the web.

Go Buckeyes.
