Thad Matta's Ohio State Buckeyes take on Tom Izzo and the 3rd seeded Michigan State Spartans in a 2013 Big Ten Tournament semifinal. This marks the third meeting between these recent historical B1G basketball powers with Michigan State seeking their second straight Big Ten Tournament title and the Buckeyes looking for their third in four years.
Ohio State enters this one having dominated Nebraska, 71-50, behind 19 points and 9 rebounds from star forward, junior Deshaun Thomas. Michigan State, on the other hand, somewhat limps in to this one after having "stolen" (in the words of their head coach, Tom Izzo) a game from sixth seeded Iowa, 59-56. Adreian Payne led the way for the Spartans with 18 points and 10 rebounds.
