Drew Carey, the host of "The Price is Right" (and formerly the immortal "Who's Line Is It Anyway?" and of course "The Drew Carey Show") was on hand at Staples Center Thursday evening for Ohio State's dramatic 73-70 victory over the Arizona Wildcats.
Not long after LaQuinton Ross hit the game-winning three to send Buckeye faithful into a frenzy, Carey marked the victory by doing the university's trademark "O-H-I-O" chant, probably to cult classic "Hang on Sloopy", an adopted pep anthem of the university.
Carey has ties to pro and Ohio sports alike. He's been a vocal minority owner of Seattle Sounders FC of the MLS since their inception in 2009 and is also a prominent fan of the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Cavaliers, and the Cleveland Indians.
This is the first time in recent memory he's been on hand to cheer on the largest college team from his home state, but especially given his TPIR obligations (which is filmed in LA), it's no surprise that he took advantage of the Buckeyes' presence in the NCAA Tournament's West Region.
