In a big recruiting day for a Thursday, Ohio State played host to two 2014 visitors, tight end/wide receiver Mike Gesicki and offensive lineman Quenton Nelson. We detailed Gesicki's game in detail yesterday, and I caught up with him late Thursday to see how the visit went:

"It was such a great experience being on campus at THE Ohio State University and knowing that they have interest in me and are thinking about bringing me into their football family. I am truly blessed and honored to be able to say that because not many athletes can. My favorite part [of the visit] was between walking out on the field at their stadium and knowing that history and football behind it was a crazy feeling. Then, sitting down and talking to one of the greatest coaches college football has seen in Urban Meyer, and for him to tell me that I have so much potential and a lot of football to be played in my life and he wants it to continue at ohio state was unbelievable."

Those are certainly some strong words from Gesicki, and he seemingly loved his visit at Ohio State. The other visitor for Thursday was Quenton Nelson. Nelson is a 4-star offensive tackle prospect attending Red Bank Catholic in Red Bank, New Jersey. 247Sports' composite rankings has Nelson rated as a 95 overall, the 112th best player in the nation, the 8th best offensive tackle recruit in the nation, and the 2nd best overall player in the state of New Jersey. Nelson is a sure fire big-time recruit, receiving offers from Ohio State, Alabama, Stanford, North Carolina, Penn State, Miami, Oklahoma, Michigan State, Nebraska, Ole Miss, Oregon, Virginia Tech, Wisconsin, and many, many others. The bruiser sizes up at 6-5, 285 pounds, and see some highlights of his junior season here:

Looking ahead to next weekend's visitor slate, stars are not in short supply. Rumored to visit the weekend of April 5th-7th are 2014 safety Cortez McDowell from Georgia, 2015 quarterback Jayru Campbell from Michigan, 2015 running back Michael Weber from Michigan, 2015 defensive end Joshua Alabi from Michigan, 2014 offensive tackle Alex Bookser from Pennsylvania, 2014 offensive tackle Chad Mavety from New York, 2014 offensive tackle Jermaine Eluemenor, 2014 offensive guard Sam Mustipher from Maryland, 2014 defensive back Sam Hubbard from Cincinnati, 2014 wide receiver Dallis Todd from California, 2014 cornerback (and Buckeye commit) Damon Webb from Michigan, and 2014 wide receiver Demarre Kitt from Georgia. In other words, a whole bunch of elite recruits, from a whole bunch of different areas of the country are a comin' to the C-bus to gauge their fit in Ohio State football program.

We have been able to verify the visits from Mavety, Eluemunor, Mustipher, Hubbard, Todd, Webb, and Kitt thus far. We will continue to work on confirming the rest, including any late additions to the visitor list.

Our talk with Chad Mavety:

"When I visit April 6th, I'll be attending with my high school coach. Both my coach and I would really love to see what the whole experience of being a Buckeye really is, and if I would make a good fit on their team."

Jermaine Eluemunor:

Sam Mustipher:

Sam Hubbard:

Our talk with Dallis Todd, when asked about the main coach recruiting him:

"Coach [Tim] Hinton. We speak about once a week. We just joke around and have normal conversation. He actually called me about five minutes ago, making sure I have my ticket and everything is all set for my April 6th visit."

Damon Webb:

Demarre Kitt:

And certainly, last but not least, could coach Mark Pantoni have been foreshadowing some upcoming recruiting news?

We certainly make no guarantee, but I thoroughly enjoy Coach Pantoni's #JUICE tweets and wholeheartedly wish that it is recruiting related.
