Ohio State recruiting: MORE State Secrets, 5/2 - Eli Brown offer update

In the aftermath of a crazy recruiting Wednesday, we survey the best of the rest of what went down on the Ohio State recruiting landscape.

On a day like Wednesday, it's hard to fit all your info into just one update. Accordingly, we race around the country looking at some of the other top recruiting news worth keeping an eye on with respect to Ohio State.

OSU offered a fifth recruit Wednesday in 2015 LB/RB Eli Brown. The Bowling Green, Kentucky running back's seen his recruiting explode of late, with offers from Florida, Kentucky, Vanderbilt, and the Buckeyes succeed the hometown Hilltoppers' offer. We caught up with Brown to get the latest on the offer:

"Tim Hinton came to my school Tuesday and asked for my highlights from Hudl. Today my coach got a call from Ohio State saying they loved my film and that they wanted to offer me. To be offered by Ohio State is very big to me because one of my favorite coaches is Urban Meyer and to know that my favorite coach wants me to be a part of his team is big."

Brown hasn't been ranked by the major players as of now, but at 6-1, 195, he will plenty of time to mature and grow. It's possible that offer sheet will get even more competitive sooner rather than later. Check out what Brown would bring to Ohio State.

Kerry Coombs was his usual self Wednesday, laying the ground work for even more recruits to come from the state of Texas:

Luke Fickell was also out covering ground in the state of Pennsylvania on Wednesday, checking in with 2014 WR/ATH Malik Hooker:

Hooker hasn't been evaluated by the major recruiting services but does hold offers from Penn State, Pitt, and West Virginia.
