The Ohio State athletic department announced Friday afternoon that the 2013 homecoming game against Iowa will be broadcast on the ABC/Disney family of sports channels and kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET.
The two schools (which are separated in both the current Leaders-Legends alignment and will be again in the East-West divisional split which begins in 2014) haven't met since the 2010 season in which, in a late November 20th meeting in Kinnick Stadium, Ohio State won 20-17 on a final minute Dan "Boom" Herron 1-yard touchdown run. In their last meeting in Ohio Stadium, which occurred in the previous season, a late James Vandenberg lead rally forced overtime before a Devin Barclay 39 yard field goal won that game for the Buckeyes, 27-24.
The Ohio State-Iowa game joins September 28th's game against Wisconsin and October 26th's game against Penn State as the only known home game kickoffs at this time. Those two are both 8:00 p.m. ET night affairs. The Buckeyes' Big Ten road opener, at Northwestern, will also take place at 8:00 p.m. ET.
