'14 OL Jamarco Jones has been on Ohio State's board for quite some time now, and in return, the Buckeyes have landed on Jones' final list of four schools. Those teams are Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame and Ohio State. The 6'5", 290-pound Jones hails from the state of Illinois and is ranked as the 4th-best offensive tackle in the country and the 3rd-best prospect from Illinois. Jones also had offers from schools such as Florida, Northwestern, Oklahoma, Vanderbilt, Wisconsin, Florida State, Tennessee and UCLA, among others.
Ohio State assistant coach Mike Vrabel is the coach in charge of recruiting Jones, and has done a tremendous job of reaching out to his family and making sure to keep Ohio State in the thick of Jones' recruiting process. It's been no secret that Jones has been impressed by what the Buckeyes have to offer, considering OSU is the school that Jones has visited the most during his time as a recruit.
I will be making my final decision June 27

Another product from the state of Illinois, '14 LB Clifton Garrett, seems to have cooled off on Ohio State. The 5-star linebacker named a top five on Saturday, a list that did not include the Buckeyes. Rated as the second best linebacker in the country, and the No. 1 player out of Illinois, Garrett holds offers from Alabama, Florida, LSU, Ohio State, Ole Miss, USC and plenty more. From everything we've heard, Garrett has made it clear he would like to play in the SEC, but it still comes as a bit of a surprise that the Buckeyes were unable to make his most recent list. For now, LSU leads for his services and there's a good chance Garrett becomes a Tiger when it's all said and done.
The Buckeyes handed out two offers this weekend, to '14 OL Tyler Jones and '14 S Jared Tucker. Jones stands 6'4", 270-pounds and has offers from Cincinnati, Connecticut, Iowa State, Middle Tennessee State and South Florida. Tucker checks in at 5'11", 175-pounds and holds offers from Cincinnati, Connecticut, Indiana, Louisville, Miami (FL) and Vanderbilt, among others. Both prospects hail from Stone Mountain, Georgia and attend the same school. While it's currently unclear whether or not these offers are commitable, it just goes to show that the staff does their homework, by offering two athletes that haven't received a ton of attention.
Check out the highlights of Jones and Tucker below:
Finally, the Ohio State staff will be down in Atlanta, Georgia to stop by '15 LB/DL D'Andre Walker, whom the Buckeyes offered last week. The 6'2", 210-pound linebacker/defensive end already has an eye-popping 14 offers, from Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Louisville, Miami, Tennessee, USC and many others. His versatility on the field already has top programs looking hard at him, and we suspect he may end up being one of the best athletes in the class of 2015. We'll be sure to keep an eye on Walker's latest recruiting news.
