Ohio State to face Maryland in 2013 ACC-Big Ten Challenge

A year removed from taking it on the chin against Duke in Cameron, the Buckeyes' know their 2013 ACC-Big Ten Challenge opponent.

Thad Matta and the basketball Buckeyes' 2013 ACC-Big Ten Challenge foe is in the wild: OSU will take on future Big Ten East brethren, Mark Turgeon & the Maryland Terrapins. Maryland made it to the Final Four of the 2013 NIT before losing to the Big Ten's Iowa, 71-60. The Terps lose sophomore center Alex Len to the NBA Draft, but will add former Michigan 6-9 F Evan Smotrycz. Former Xavier star Dezmine Wells also returns for the Terrapins.

Ohio State is 6-6 all-time in the ACC-Big Ten Challenge with 4 home wins and2 home losses. Prior to losing against the Dukies in Cameron, 73-68, last season, Ohio State blew the doors off Duke in 2011, winning at Value City Arena, 85-63. The year before that they defeated Florida State in Tallahasse, 58-44. and in Columbus in 2009, 77-64.

The two leagues (along with broadcast partner ESPN) announced the complete schedule for the 15th annual event this afternoon. Here are the match ups for this year's event:
