The Buckeyes coaching staff played host to class to 2014 four star wide receiver Jalen Brown this morning. The 6-1 170 pound Arizona speedster attended the Rivals 5-Star Challenge camp in Chicago over the weekend and is now checking out some of the top teams in Big Ten country, including Michigan, Michigan State, Northwestern and Ohio State ." It was a good visit," Brown told Land-Grant Holy Land of his time on the OSU campus "I got to experience a place I haven't had the chance to take a hard look at in the past being born and raised in Arizona."
Some of the things that stood out during his time in Columbus were "the size of the stadium, the Midwest hospitality, the football facilities and the honesty from the coaches," he stated. Some of the coaches he spoke with were "Urban Meyer, Mark Pantoni, Zach Smith and Tom Herman" and all four seemed to have nothing but great things to say about the talented Mountain Pointe High School senior to be. "They all spoke about my presence at Ohio State. If I chose them, it would make a difference." Brown said. "I'm a player they could base their offense on in the future."
Brown is already sporting offers from the aforementioned programs and quite a few more including home state Arizona, Arizona State, Oregon and Ole Miss to name a few. The senior to be racked up over 1200 receiving yards and 18 touchdowns last fall. Even though so many teams are after him for his services he has yet to trim his list: "I haven't decided on a list of top schools," he said. "I will be developing a list after my visits this week and hopefully have a set top five or eight schools by the end of July."
