Ed. note - We're thrilled to welcome Adam Waters to the LGHL family. Adam's done a number of great interviews with top flight prospects during the last few months and we think he's only going to continue to up the ante for our recruiting team. You can follow Adam on Twitter at @AWaters_LGHL
The Buckeyes have been on a roll as of lately when it comes to closing at recruiting. The Bucks have landed three top prospects recently in defensive end Jalyn Holmes, quarterback Stephen Collier, and Terry McLaurin and now this afternoon have a very good shot at landing offensive tackle Jamarco Jones. Jones is ranked a 4-star recruit out of the Chicago, Illinois area and is considered a Top 10 lineman in the Class of 2014. Jones will announce his choice between Michigan, Michigan State, and Ohio State during a ceremony this afternoon at 2 p.m. eastern time at his high school. Jones also had offers from Florida, Notre Dame and UCLA to name a few.
Jones had this to say about picking one of these schools:
"It's tough picking between these schools, but I am ready to get this over with and go back to being a normal kid," Jones said. "It was made a little easier once I decided to stay in the Midwest."
The Buckeyes have seemed to be the leaders for Jones' commitment for sometime. According to 247Sports' Crystal Ball, amongst 36 picks, Jones is 100% in favor of the Buckeyes. Jones will end his prep career by playing in the Under Armour All-American game in St. Petersburg, Florida in early 2014. Before he does though, which conspicuously colored hat will the top tackle elect to reveal later today?

The class of 2014's signal caller didn't waste any time this afternoon making one last ditch effort to try and land the big tackle:

Though waiting is the hardest part, we're just hours away from finding out if Jones will be a Buckeye or not. But did Ohio State director of player personnel Mark Pantoni possibly tip his hand with respect to Jones (or perhaps JUCO T UCLA commit Jermaine Eluemunor) Tuesday night?
Hoping there's a few more Ihops that open in Columbus soon to serve pancakes #GoBucks

Shifting gears to basketball, V.J. King, who is part of the 2016 recruiting class, has added offers from Miami (FL) and the Wolfpack of North Carolina State to an already lengthy, impressive offer list. King plays his prep ball at Ohio state power Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary. King has offers from Ohio State, Wisconsin and Iowa State amongst others. The small forward is a big target for the Buckeyes basketball team and a near must get for Thad Matta's 2016 class. V.J. was an All-Ohio and Max Prep Freshman second team All-American this past season.

King recently help guide the USA U16 National Team to a gold medal at the 2013 FIBA Championships in Uruguay. Through the tournament King averaged 8.2 ppg and 5.2 rpg. USA beat Argentina, 94-48, in the gold medal match in which King had seven points and four rebounds. King still has three more seasons of prep ball to go, but the lights are on and they won't be shutting off anytime soon. Thad Matta, Jeff Boals, and the Buckeye staff will have their work cut out for them trying to keep King in the Buckeye State, though. It won't be long before everyone in the nation is trying to get in the ear of the soon to be sophomore.
