As most of you are well aware of, just under a week from now is the Ohio State Friday Night Lights camp. Urban Meyer, Ed Warinner, Luke Fickell and the rest of the Buckeye coaches will have their handsful with a gang of the current commitments, top targets and underclassman hoping to catch the eye of the staff under the lights of the 'Shoe.
One of those prospects just happens to be 2015 Illinois offensive lineman Gabe Megginson. The 6-5 295 pound Megginson, who is one of the top lineman in the Prairie state, is counting down the days till he hits the streets of the Capital City and from the sounds of things so are the staff. " I'm sorry I can't pronounce or remember his name but he said thy're excited to work with me and watch me in person competing against some great players." Gabe told Land-Grant Holy Land. " I'm just excited to see what the city and the facilities are like, I'm just excited for it all really.".
The Jacksonville, Illinois native has already received offers from the likes of Big Ten Conference foes Illinois and Wisconsin to name a couple but is hoping after a solid performance next week to add one from the Buckeyes to his list " To get an offer from OSU would be unbelievable, they're one of the best teams and you always hear about them" Gabe said " It's a great program and it would really be a great offer to get".
Megginson is a member of the Core 6 Athletes family. Core6 is a training and recruiting firm based out of Chicago who has helped many prospects get to the next level including current Ohio State class of 2014 commits Dylan Thompson, Lonnie Johnson and Jamarco Jones to name a few. With Dylan, Lonnie and Jamarco giving their verbal commitment to the Bucks, it seems their love of the Scarlet and Gray might be rubbing off on some of the younger members of Core6 "When I think of Ohio State, I think of the undefeated season last year and the tradition of great competitors" Gabe stated " all I've heard is good things about Coach Meyer, so to have the opportunity to play for him would be awesome".
One of the top lineman in the Class of 2015 @GabeMegginson72 will be at #OHIOState FNL July 26th.
