While we crawl towards the last days without something resembling actual football (remember, Ohio State's fall camp kicks off this Sunday and the NFL's Hall of Fame Game in Canton is that evening), we're getting to look at some of the last remaining pre-camp projections in terms of where teams finish this fall.
The oddsmakers are doing there part as well, with more up to date conference odds on who's most likely to win each of the major ones. Ohio State's long been considered the favorites to win the 2013 Big Ten title (even in lieu of possible suspensions for tailback Carlos Hyde and cornerback Bradley Roby), but those odds have skewed even further in the Buckeyes' favor.
Courtesy of Bovada, here are the 2013 Big Ten championship odds:
Odds to win the 2013-2014 Big Ten Conference
Ohio State 5/6
Michigan 4/1
Nebraska 13/2
Michigan State 15/2
Wisconsin 15/2
Northwestern 10/1
Iowa 33/1
Indiana 50/1
Minnesota 66/1
Purdue 75/1
Illinois 100/1
Michigan in second would almost assuredly mean the Buckeyes would have to beat the Wolverines twice to claim a Big Ten title. No matter what you think of the talent differences between the two sides, given the nature of those games, that's a particularly tall order. Unsurprisingly other probable Legends division contenders Nebraska and Michigan State check in next.
