BuckeyeSports.com's Ari Wasserman reports that Jalin Marshall has been out since Thursday with a concussion. He's expected back this coming Monday following tomorrow's day off for Ohio State Media Day. Wasserman also added that the expected starter at middle linebacker, junior Curtis Grant, has also been sidelined with issues related to concussions.
Given the sport as a whole's recent emphasis on player protection/safety (particularly with respect to head injuries), just five days out for a concussion for Marshall seems light – though it's easy to forget that no two concussions are created equally.
Here's hoping the program is extra cautious with respect to the two and that both Marshall and Grant are able to come back at full strength as soon as possible.
