Several Ohio State commitments and targets hit the hardwood on Sunday at the second week of Coach Vic's Open Gymin Columbus. Top players include Pickerington Central forward Jae'Sean Tate, Dayton Dunbar point guard AJ Harris, Shaker Heights power forward Esa Ahmad, Lakewood St. Edward's guard Kipper Nichols, Gahanna combo-guard Javon Bess and Garfield Heights center Dave Bell, among many others.
Sunday's open gym consisted of several 10-minute five-on-five scrimmages with a running clock. With no officials on duty, players called their own fouls, disrupting the flow of the game at times. On the plus side of having no officials, action was high-paced, and highlights were a plenty. As has been the case throughout the summer, Bess hooked up with Tate for a few powerful alley-oop slams, proving to be one of Sunday's top highlights.
Friends of the Holy-Land, Scarberry Media, were on hand to capture Ohio's top talent in action. Coach Vic's Open Gym is a weekly occurrence, taking place at the USA Sports Academy on Fifth Avenue in Columbus.
