The 2013 Buckeyes are in full force right now with camp opening up, and the 2014 recruiting class is taking form and evolve into one of the nation's best. With high school teams across the country starting up camps and some of the top juniors already committing, Buckeye fans are already starting to wonder about the 2015 class. Could James Lockhart be one of the pieces for the Buckeyes? Well, first the Buckeyes will have to offer, though at this point it may just be a matter of time. James is currently rated at the eightieth best player in the country by the 247 Composite rankings for the Class of 2015 and the fifth best at his position.
James who is from Ennis, Texas which is about thirty-five miles Southeast of of Dallas, took to Twitter on Sunday night hoping to reach out and get on Ohio State's radar:
I wish I could get some attention from some Ohio State...

2014 Buckeye commit Demetrius Knox even had a few things to say about James after he saw Lockhart's highlights:
@James_Lockhart9 dang bro! Just watched your highlight tape

I was able to catch up with James Lockhart and asked the 6-3 245 pound defensive end a few questions about his recruitment as well as his interest in Ohio State.
What schools have offered you scholarships already?
So far I have received offers from Baylor, Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, TCU and Oklahoma.
Would you commit to Ohio State if they offered?
I don't know about right now. I would defiantly consider it, but I would have to talk to my parents about it.
What made you and your father big Buckeye fans?
We loved Terrelle Pryor. Watching him take the Buckeyes to the Rose Bowl and Sugar Bowl was awesome. Now after getting some information about the campus and the whole university, it just make me feel great about the possibility of being in Columbus. Buckeye Nation is unreal and has some of the best fans out there.
I know it's early, but how do you envision your recruiting process playing out?
I plan on probably waiting it out until my senior year. I want to wait and see what other offers I get and not rush anything. But if I decide where I want to go during my junior season, I will go ahead and commit.
Which teams are standing out to you right now?
I would say Alabama, LSU, Florida, Georgia, and I'm really big on Ohio State. I also really like Texas A&M.
What would it mean to you to be offered by a program with the history of Ohio State and have the chance to suit up for a coach like Urban Meyer?
Aw man, it would really be a blessing. I am a big Buckeyes fan and I love what they are doing up in Columbus. They had a really special season last year. I would love to be able to meet Coach Meyer and the rest of the staff.
What position has coaches been telling you they see you at the next level?
Texas is recruiting me as a strong side defensive end. I'm not sure what everyone else is recruiting me at; I would guess though as a strong defensive end as well.
Who did you get your first offer from and how did it feel?
I got my first offer from Baylor after my sophomore year; it was unreal. I was not expecting it at all, and that early. It really caught me off guard and I was really grateful for it.
Who would you say is someone you look up to?
My hero would have to be my dad. It really started off at a young age. My mom and grandparents told me how good he was at football and I just wanted to be better than him. He has always been there for me and taught me right from wrong.
What would you say to schools recruiting you about James Lockhart the student athlete?
My grade are pretty good. I have a 3.8 GPA and take a couple of AP Classes. My parents are big on me about my grades. That is the main thing; you have to have the grades to get the offers.
What would you like to tell all the Ohio State fans out there reading this?
I love what Ohio State brings to the table: great coaches and a great university. The fans are the best, and I would love to get that offer so I could join Buckeye Nation.
