Ohio State football: FAMU depth chart

After Braxton Miller showed up on the sidelines not suited up against California, Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer said in his weekly press conference that Miller is "probable" for the game against Florida A&M, and the depth chart shows that Miller remains at the starting position above Kenny Guiton. No real surprise there, as Miller has been the clear-cut starter, even in light of the way Guiton has performed in the past two games. Meyer mentioned that Guiton earned some minutes with his play, so we'll see how that comes into play during the game this week.

At running back, Jordan Hall is listed as the lone starter, with Rod Smith as his backup. Warren Ball OR Bri'onte Dunn are still inked in at the third spot on the depth chart. There's no sign of Carlos Hyde anywhere, but his three-game suspension has been served. Coach Meyer this week said that Hyde has done everything the coaching staff has asked of him on and off the field and they have been impressed with the way he's handled his suspension. It would not surprise me in the slightest to see Hyde and Hall share the carries on Saturday, to help get Hyde get his feet wet after missing the beginning of the season.

Everything remains the same for the rest of the offense as well. Philly Brown and Devin Smith continue to share minutes as the starters at the "X" position, while Evan Spencer locks down the Z and Chris Fields remains the number one option at H. Dontre Wilson has seen himself used in a multitude of ways, both as a running back and more of an H-back. As the season progresses we've seen more and more touches for Wilson, which is only a good thing for the Buckeyes.

The starter at tight end is Jeff Heuerman with Nick Vannett backing him up. Both have seen their fair share of the snaps so far this season, with a bit of an advantage to Heuerman. For the offensive line, from left to right, Jack Mewhort, Andrew Norwell, Corey Linsley, Marcus Hall and Taylor Decker remain your starters.

On the defensive side of the ball, Adolphus Washington is still listed as the starter at defensive end, but coach Meyer listed Washington as questionable for the FAMU game and didn't see the field against Cal. Joey Bosa, Ohio State's defensive player of the week, is the lone backup. Joel Hale, Michael Bennett and Noah Spence remain the starters across the defensive line. No changes at linebacker either, with Ryan Shazier, Curtis Grant and Joshua Perry locking down those spots.

The secondary is shown with Bradley Roby and Doran Grant as your cornerbacks with Armani Reeves and Gareon Conley as the backups. Christian Bryant is listed at strong safety and C.J. Barnett at free safety as per usual. Tyvis Powell is still listed at the nickel position with Vonn Bell backing him up.
